Mr. Dukas was born in Newark Ohio and grew up in the small town of Indian Springs, but
graduated from East Union High School in Manteca, California. He joined the Army shortly after
high school and retired with 22 years of service. His medical career started as an enlisted
combat medic and went on to become a physician assistant through the military’s Interservice
Physician Assistant Program, graduating with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant
Studies in 2010 from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He has four combat
deployments between Iraq and Afghanistan and served as the senior medical advisor for Task
Force Med assisting in the planning, coordination, and implementation of medical assets for the
United States Presidential inauguration in January 2017.
After retiring from the military in 2018, Mr. Dukas has continued to serve the country by teaching
emergency combat medicine to medical providers at the US Army’s Tactical Combat Medical
Care Course and has served his local communities by working in local emergency rooms as
well as acute and urgent care clinics. With the help of Dr. Altamirano, He opened Small Town
Medical Solutions which helps to provide much needed acute care service to the small rural
town of Stockdale, Texas, and surrounding area.
Mr. Dukas enjoys woodworking, running, and supporting local youth sports. He’s been married
to his wife, Stacey, since 2005 and has 4 children.
